District B is a relaxed Moonah spot where coffee lovers and locals seeking a casual morning or weekend hangout converge. Positioned on Albert Road, this café combines an artisan coffee roastery with a family-friendly atmosphere, making it more than just a typical coffee stop.

The steady hum here is that of quiet conversation and coffee machines working steadily, fitting for those who appreciate a carefully brewed cuppa. Their small cappuccinos and smooth, well-crafted espresso options draw in people who know their coffee — whether you’re catching up with friends, working remotely, or just need a reliable caffeine fix. It’s common to see parents with children comfortably settled in, thanks to the café’s welcoming approach to families.

Breakfast options like the bacon and egg roll or the almond croissant come recommended for those who want something more than just coffee. These food items pair well with the drinks and highlight the café’s attention to simple yet satisfying fare. The distinctive almond croissant, noted for its subtle mix of cinnamon and coconut flavors, offers a sweet counterpoint to the savory rolls. For weekend mornings, District B tends to be a lively choice, especially with early opening hours that catch the crowd before other spots open — a practical perk for early risers.

Inside, the vibe is warmly inviting rather than trendy or overly styled. It’s a place that feels rooted in the neighborhood rhythms, where the couple running the place are recognized faces and chats at the counter don’t feel out of place. You’ll find an unhurried, friendly environment that supports lingering over your coffee or grabbing takeaway beans to enjoy at home.

District B appeals to locals who want consistent coffee quality paired with straightforward, tasty brunch items in a space that respects both solitude and sociability. Mornings and weekend days are ideal times to visit, when the crowd is comfortably spread out and the aroma of fresh roasting fills the air. If you’re in Moonah and need a reliable spot for good coffee, a bite, and a welcoming face, it fits the bill without fuss.

Great place for coffee and love that they are open 7 days a week. Coffee is delicious and the egg and bacon brioche is yum! Great selection of beans to try at home as well. The couple who run it are lovely.

Best coffee and almond croissant! The croissant has an almond-cinnamon-coconut undertone, and the coffee is so smooth.

Grabbed an iced mocha early this morning, thank you for a 7am open on a Sunday when not many other coffee places are open!!! Stoked to get my coffee hit, and a well made one at that :) Definitely recommend, and will be back!

Hi Owner, We were the Singaporeans who came by your cafe about 2 hours ago. We were immediately regretting not buying more Egg & Bacon Brioche buns as they were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, we had to head to the airport. The buns and coffee here is extremely amazing! I will definitely head back when I come to Tasmania again. It was lovely to meet you and your family. Thank you for chatting with us with such warmth and hospitality.

I can’t tell you anything about the flavour notes or the beans, but I do know this is the best coffee we found during our trip to Tasmania. Lovely lounge music too.

The cafe had a constant stream of customers while I was there, most ordering coffee. I had the bacon and egg roll and an iced latte. Both items were nice but a little expensive as my total was $21. There is no menu or prices so just look at the display case and order. I can tell they are well-known in the neighbourhood as the owner was chatting with different customers. There's not a lot of seating too and most people order to-go.
